Istanbul based architect and designer Naz Yologlu creates emotional and exclusive art furniture pieces that reflects diverse cultural relics, stories and different states of being through a common contemporary ground. Turkish designer obtained her bachelor’s degree from Central Saint Martins College, London where she studied Architecture, after which she opened her interior design and furniture studio in 2015 and founded her art furniture brand NAAZ in 2018.
Passionately inspired by her environment she focused her work on the meaning and sense of belonging of spaces and objects. Coexisting between two continents, merged layers of various cultures and experiences; like her background, her sculptured furniture pieces reflect different states of being and offer an emotional element through form and texture that stimulate the senses.
Whether it’s the story about cosmos, nature or mythology; all these sensations metamorphose into different forms, textures and objects: a combination of different elements that coexist together: organic yet geometric, bold yet permeable, light yet rich, subtle yet sophisticated. Each individual piece is a continuous dialogue with its surroundings through its sculptural form and materiality, embracing the qualities of lightness and timelessness.
